To Do or Not To Do?

With all my IT experience I am able to tackle a wide range of issues that may arise with your system(s).

This could be anything from:

“What is this strange message I keep getting, and is it important?”

through to:

“I think my PC/network is dead, can it be revived?”

Things I do

• Setup your new PC.
   
• Check how secure your machine is and/or advise you on maintaining the security of it and your data.
   
• Sort out any repetitive error messages you may be receiving.
   
• Setup a (wireless) network to allow you to securely share data, printers and an Internet connection.
   
• Create a web site for your new or existing business.
   
• Advise on the best way to improve the performance of your PC.
   
• Upgrade or integrate new pieces of technology into your computer system or network.
   
• Answer those “Is it possible to…” questions that have been bugging you, and assist you in implementing a cost-effective solution.
  If I don’t instantly know the answer - and I don’t always(!) – then I am able to quickly research the market for you.

Things I do NOT do

• Run a computer shop.
  I do not sell hardware, software, nor consumables; though as a client of mine I can offer you free impartial advice on what to buy and where to buy it. However I can help you install and configure your purchases should this be necessary.
   
• I do not conduct formal training courses (though I have in the past).
  However I am proficient at explaining all this IT “stuff” in words you can probably understand.
   
• I am not a computer mechanic (don’t call them engineers, that’s a much maligned word!). In reality very few people truly “repair” computers these days.
  However, I can advise you on upgrading your system, and am happy to install new or replacement devices (disks, memory, interface boards etc.) should you require it.
   
• I do not offer my services outside the Mid Argyll area.
